Here Comes Ayeka ... of the Original OVA Tenchi Muyo . Then we see a new side of her in the Mihoshi Special in which she is a member of the Galaxy Police. Then there are the three Pretty Samy specials in which she is a reluctant hero. Magical Project S reintroduced Pretty Samy with a new story line including only a couple of the original Tenchi characters. "S" is 26 episodes with a "Saturday morning cartoon show" flavor. Somewhere in there the three Tenchi movies were released... with Sasami portrayed as cute as ever. Finally, there is the Shin Tenchi (Tenchi in Tokyo) series in which we are shown Sasami at her whackiest. Still really fun to watch!
Pretty Samy proud and happy. This is the first cel I ever bought. I saw it on eBay... and had to have it! I paid $24 and shipping for it. Little did I know that I would be hooked!

Sasami looking so disappointed! Look at that nice background... the typical "school". Obviously this is a close-up of Sasami and the large background can be moved behind her. Great color... great art! It is amazing how much "art" goes into these "single-use" production cels.

Sasami-chan- She is happy to see us! What a cute cel! I like that little Ryo-ohki, too... kawaii! The colors are brilliant... brighter than shown in the scan. This cel is numbered A21 and is actually two layers stuck together. The top layer is a correction layer... just some bits of inked linework that overlap the original layer's images. She is also a little bit stuck to her backing paper. Mighty cute, though... I have to laugh every time I see this little picture!
