Beautiful Meeze Myshtar - Priestess
of Water from El Hazard and the spin-off
The
Wanderers. What a dynamite image! Swirling hair, swirling fabric...
and that hint of a smile... so nice. The cel is two layers with the swirl
of water being on top. Too bad it is stuck to the beautiful cel of Meeze
( mizu is water in Japanese). I photoshopped the enlargement to
get rid of the evidence of the stuck layers... but you can still see it
clearly on the full frame view. Terrific image... I am looking forward
to framing this one.

nice attitude... friendly. Her image, here, is a little small... but well
detailed. It is an End cel and has two layers with the mouth
being the second layer. Very nice.

an El-Hazard spin-off. No one's looking very happy, here!

Makoto from the El Hazard spin-off The Wanderers
. A nice cel... he has a "concerned" look on his face... great eyes...
a loosened tie... and "anime hair". The cel is good quality, is standard
size and has the AIC studio stamp. It comes with an unrelated sketch...
just a scribble. The cel is in a loose plastic sleeve... not in its original
pouch. The painted image is about 8-1/4" tall by 7-1/4" wide... positioned
a little to the right of center.
Nanami from the El Hazard spin-off The Wanderers
. She likes Makoto and desires his attentions... but Makoto, being a typical
anime "scientist", doesn't notice her. She is about 9" tall and 7" wide
and is painted on an oversize cel: 12-3/4" wide x 10-1/2" tall. The cel
is in medium condition. The painted image looks great and would frame well.
See
the close-up .This cel is actually two layers that are intentionally
stuck together... I can not discern the reason why it was assembled this
way. There's a little dust (?) between the layers... hard to see... but
detracts from the the otherwise nice condition of the cel. She certainly
looks shocked! Fun face and bright shirt graphics.
Nanami-chan and
Fujisawa-sensei
of The Wanderers. I wouldn't normally buy a cel with such
small figures... off-center, too. But... look at Nanami's expression! A
picture is worth a thousand words... and you would need them all to explain
that simple emotion. It's amazing how expressive a few simple lines can
be.
Jinnai from the El Hazard spin-off The Wanderers.
On Earth he was Makoto's competitor... on El Hazard he is Makoto's
enemy. Jinnai discovers that he has the power to rule the race of giant
insects on El Hazard... The Bugrom. He dons an insect costume and commands
the forces. I enjoy the sinister look on his face... and he takes his disguise
seriously! Click here

Afura Mann , the Priestess of Wind, from the El Hazard spin-off
The
Wanderers . This could be a moment from tape 5, episode 15: Tale
of the Priestesses in which we see the history of the young Afura
Mann and her spiritual rival Shayla-Shayla, the Priestess of Fire. This
is a great cel with a fine face and cool hair
. Lots of attitude in this picture. The cel is standard
sized, AIC stamped and in it's original pouch... sealed with its original
Japanese stickers. The painted image is about 7' tall and 4-1/4" wide and
is centered a little left of center (per the full-frame scan).

Alielle-chan- Blue-haired lesbian side-kick of Fatora...
the true princess of El Hazard. A nice cel in beautiful condition.
Etsuko Kozakura is the voice artist for Alielle. In an interview, Etsuko,
who has done many animal voices and is also the character voice of Tenchi's
Ryo-ohki, said that she was delighted to get this role... the voice part
for a human character!
Fujisawa-sensei - Cast into El Hazard by the same energy
blast that hurled Makoto, Jinnai, and Nanami-chan into that magical land.
He never forgets his duty as a high school teacher. This is a great cel...
it captures his usual attitude... look at that chin stubble! (You almost
never see him with his eyes open.) The cel is stuck to its white backing
paper but is, otherwise, in fine shape.

Fujisawa-sensei the alcoholic high school teacher and
mentor from El Hazard and The Wanderers. Looks
like he just heard a discouraging word and is about to growl-out his response!
I like this guy... needs a shave.
